ERICA ANDERSON, M.S.
Senior Account Executive

Erica is a chemical engineer, polymer chemist, and seasoned teaching assistant with a passion for making STEM education as smooth and effective as possible.  With experience in research and development in both academic and industrial settings, she brings a unique perspective to educators and the next generation of scientists and engineers.

GRIFFIN BURRESS
Account Development Scientist

Griffin, a '23 graduate from The University of Cincinnati, thrives off client satisfaction; with a key belief in mind that genuine and long-lasting relationships should be first priority in any business.

During his tenure studying at San Diego State—Burress found his passion for the Education space. Where he worked with thousands of students to help them better their learning and workflows, he was also able to work with their professors in implementing the necessary technologies to do so. While studying Business at SDSU Burress received specializations in Professional Selling and Client Management, as well as over 3 years of experience in Advertising Creative.

AUGUST CLEVENGER, MBA
Senior Account Executive

August is a biologist with a robust background in both science and industry. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Purdue University, where he contributed to developmental biology research and served as a peer tutor. After earning an MBA from Ball State University, he went on to work in preclinical research before joining Catalyst. August loves discussing genetics, molecular biology, and the latest trends in biotechnology. His experiences as a tutor and graduate teaching assistant have fueled an enthusiasm for learning and empowering STEM educators to help students achieve their full potential.

DANTE STATEN, M.S.
Account Development Scientist

Dante is a sales leader with a strong scientific background, leveraging his expertise as a researcher, chemist, and laboratory coordinator to drive impactful solutions in education and laboratory technology. With extensive experience setting up labs, working with analytical instruments, and teaching, he excels at identifying customer needs and delivering value-driven solutions. Passionate about improving student success outcomes, he combines his technical knowledge with a strategic sales approach to help institutions optimize their laboratory programs and enhance learning experiences.

PEYTON STEWART, M.S.
Account Development Scientist

Peyton brings a strong background in physics and education to Catalyst Education, having instructed physics labs and contributed to lab manual development at Clemson University. With a Master’s degree in Physics and hands-on experience as a teaching assistant, he is passionate about using technology to streamline lab operations. Now, as an Account Executive, he works closely with coordinators and large courses to enhance efficiency and improve the student lab experience.

JOANNA SUTTON, MAT
Senior Account Executive

Joanna graduated with a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in graphic design and advertising. Shortly thereafter, she took her career in a different direction with Teach for America, serving in Elizabeth, New Jersey as a high school math and engineering teacher while obtaining her Masters in education. It was through Teach for America that she discovered her passion for education. Her time as a teacher was spent in NJ, Philly, Dallas, and Chula Vista before finally exiting the classroom. Since her time as a teacher, she has found a way to feed her passion for education by joining Catalyst Education, where she is now an Account Executive for the south western United States. A New Jersey native, now Joanna lives in sunny southern California, San Diego. During off hours, she enjoys walking her pups to the ocean, outdoor activities like hiking and surfing, artistic ventures including graphic design, silversmithing, and pottery.

With over a decade of experience in higher education, Nabilah has taught both small and large courses across diverse modalities. She has designed and delivered a wide range of chemistry courses, utilizing active learning strategies to promote student engagement and foster an inclusive classroom environment. By leveraging her expertise in content creation, digital learning principles, and curriculum development, she is passionate about creating dynamic, student-centered educational experiences.

Instructional Designer

Lisa is a chemistry educator with a decade of experience teaching general and organic chemistry. She combines her research background with educational technology to create engaging, student-centered digital tools to make complex scientific concepts more accessible, bridging the gap between traditional chemistry education and modern technology for diverse learners.

HELENA METZKER, PH.D
Instructional Designer

Helena brings over a decade of experience teaching chemistry in higher education, where she specialized in designing inclusive, engaging curriculum and supporting both students and instructors. As an Instructional Designer at Catalyst Education, she collaborates with faculty to develop thoughtful, learner-centered digital experiences that support both lab and lecture-based instruction.
Currently pursuing her PhD in Instructional Design and Technology, Helena is passionate about bridging evidence-based pedagogy with innovative tools to create equitable and effective learning environments. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to student success, faculty empowerment, and the future of STEM education.

JIMMY WADMAN
Instructional Designer

Jimmy is an ed-tech specialist with experience in teaching, building courses, and integrating technology into labs and lectures. In addition to building biology labs for Catalyst, he leads Dell Medical School's chemistry outreach program, where he uses technology and innovative teaching methods to empower underserved student groups throughout Texas.

We understand that each department’s lab courses are unique. This is why we have large banks of content and provide you with a scientist who is a trained curriculum designer and lab educator to customize and implement your course as well as support you each term.

Because of her teaching experience at Penn State University (especially in her role as the general chemistry lab co-coordinator), she understands how online and in-person instruction can blend together to enhance student learning.

Clairissa brings over 14 years of EdTech experience to her role, specializing in content strategy across various grade levels and subjects, primarily STEM. She is passionate about both leveraging pedagogical best practices to optimize learning and streamlining content creation processes so teams can concentrate on innovative solutions. Previous roles include the Director of Content, STEM at Macmillan Learning, overseeing their entire digital STEM content portfolio.
